The Woolpack Inn, Eskdale

This might not be for everybody but those looking for some proper alone time together will find few places as remote as Black Saily Hut…YHA Black Sail is a famous isolated shepherd’s bothy at the head of Ennerdale, accessible only on foot and in a traffic-free valley – it’s as tranquil as a stay in the Lakes gets! This location provides great access to the surrounding fells: Great Gable, Pillar, Red Pike and Steeple to name a few and is on the Coast-to-Coast walking route.
